Brand new maze attraction to open in North Yorkshire in July
But with the coronavirus lockdown restrictions easing, the team behind The Great Yorkshire Maze, near Malton, has been given the go-ahead to open on Wednesday next week (July 22).
The attraction, which is located just off the A64 in Sherburn, features two mazes, the larger of which, the Yorkshire Rose Maze, comprises nine acres of maize plants, grown from 55,000 seeds and two miles of paths to get lost in.

Hide AdAlong with a two-acre Scarecrow Mini -Maze aimed at younger children, featuring scarecrows from the Wetwang Scarecrow Society, there is a vintage funfair, boasting 1930s Speedway Dodgems, Swing Boats and Hook-A-Duck.
There is also a Big Top with live entertainment and refreshments.
The organiser of The Great Yorkshire Maze, Georgina Wood, said she was “very excited” to launch the attraction and provide entertainment throughout the summer holidays for families who have spent months in social isolation.
The Great Yorkshire Maze will open daily until September 6, from 10am to 6pm, with the last admissions at 4.30pm.

Hide AdFor a family-of-four, tickets cost £38, which includes entries to the mazes, two rides at the funfair and access to Big Top entertainment.
