Man dead and woman seriously injured after incident in field in Wakefield
A man has died and a woman has been seriously injured in a field in Wakefield today.
Police were called at 12.46pm today (Tuesday) to a concern for safety report at a field just off Hollinhirst Lane, Netherton.
On arrival officers found a man and woman with serious injuries. The man was pronounced dead a short time later.
The woman has been taken to hospital.
Police believe the incident is "livestock related".
While police are in the early stages of the investigation the death is not being treated as suspicious.
