A TALENTED 11-year-old drummer has helped to set a new world record, raising over £100 for charity in the process.

Bridie Stagg of Priestgate, Nafferton, travelled to Manchester on Sunday July 15 to take part in a World Record breaking charity event.

The event called Stick It To MS saw 800 drummers come together to play the same rhythm for 5 minutes, simultaneously raising cash for an MS charity and breaking a Guiness World Record.

The event raised over £75,000 for the MS Society with Bridie contributing £130 raised through sponsorship.

Bridie, who has thanked those who sponsored her said: “It was very loud and a very long day but it was really fun and I would do it again.”
