The Old Hall: The grounds of the Old Hall will be open to the public. All Saints Church will also be open with its items of historical interest and books for sale. Refreshments will be served in the Reading Room from 10.30am until 4pm. Funds are being raised in aid of the church.

Nunburnholme

Village-wide: Safari Supper starts at 6.30pm in the village. At last the very popular Safari Supper is back! This is a ticket event: tickets are £20 for a five course meal, a glass of wine and a social evening with a difference. 
You will be visiting five houses in the village, each for one course of the meal, you will also receive a glass of wine with your five course meal ticket. Pocklington Arts Centre: Hull born comedian Lucy Beaumont returns with new stand-up show. Proceeds from the show will be divided between two primary schools (Brayton Primary School and Barlby Community school, in Selby) to help stock breakfast clubs for pupils. The Community Hall, Station Road: Market Weighton Memory Cafe is held on the last Wednesday of every month, 1.30pm-3pm.

Social Club, 42 Southgate: The National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm. New members are welcome.

Pocklington Arts Centre: British painter and printmaker Amanda Roseveare’s exhibition until Friday, May 31. Vibrant and expressive paintings inspired by a childhood spent in Nigeria. Free entry. First floor exhibition space.

Beverley

Treasure House: A new exhibition entitled “Rocks, Pots and Lily Pads: The Burnby Hall Golden Jubilee Restoration Project” is being held until Saturday, June 15. The exhibition tells the story of how, with the help of a £634,800 Heritage Lottery grant, Burnby Hall Gardens and Museum in Pocklington has been restored to its former Edwardian glory. Admission is free.
