Umpire and scorer sought by Londesborough

With the new season fast approaching, Londesborough Park Cricket Club’s significant contingent of players of all age groups has been busy in the nets and on the coaching front in anticipation.

A group of under-nines and under-11s has recently completed a six-week coaching course which was thoroughly enjoyed by all (pictured right).

At senior level, the Park’s first XI goes into the 2014 season with a new captain and vice-captain as Darren Moody and Mark Tissiman hope to build on last season’s successful campaign in Division Two south of the York and District Senior League, whilst Tom Williamson and Ian Hodson continue at the helm of the secondXI in Division Threenorth.

The club is always on the look out for new players, as well as support behind the scenes, and would welcome an additional umpire to join the existing team, as well as a scorer, for which training is readily available.

The opening fixtures on Saturday 26 April for the senior teams see the first XI entertain Hornsea at home whilst the second XI travels to Stillington.
