This weekend’s matches for Stamford Bridge were all affected by the weather.

The first XI travelled to Sewerby where the home team batted first and made 64-3, with Bridge’s Dom Rhodes picking up all three wickets.

Mark Tennant had made 26 not out before the rain stopped play in the 28th over and the match was abandoned.

The second XI never started as the home ground was waterlogged.

The third XI made a start at Burythorpe but was again beaten by the rain and the match was abandoned.

On Saturday the first XI is at home to Studley Royal first XI, the second XI is away at Welton & Brough and the third XI is away at Ovington third XI.

It is hoped that there will be better weather this weekend.
