On Wednesday 19 February, Pocklington CC will be hosting a question and answer session with Mark Arthur, chairman of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

It is hoped that Mark will be accompanied by first XI captain Andrew Gale, and other members of the playing staff, in an evening of entertainment.

Pocklington CC chairman Andy Inns is still in the process of finalising details.

However, Andy hopes that the players may carry out a coaching masterclass with some of its junior section before taking part in a question and answer session in the clubhouse starting at 7.30pm.

Yorkshire cricket seems to be flourishing at the moment, however the recent failure of the English national team has left a dark cloud over English cricket. Why not come along and fire some questions at the professionals? Whether your questions are about local league cricket, Yorkshire CCC or the national side – come and hear the views of the men in charge.

Entry is free, however for a small fee, there will be a pie and peas supper – and drinks. In order to help our catering, please could you let Andy know if you are interested in attending on 07790 243703.
