A month of highs for rugby girl Victoria

Within a month, Victoria Britland’s door of opportunity has opened way beyond expectation.

As a sports degree student at Northumbria University, Newcastle, Victoria played in the university’s rugby union women’s team and was spotted to play for Northumberland County team and later North of England’s women’s rugby union team as a centre.

Victoria recently played for England Students sevens team, winning the Home Nations Cup, beating Scotland, Ireland and Wales. She recently had trials for England Students rugby league women’s team and has managed to secure a place in the team.

At the end of this month, Victoria is going on tour to France and, on her return, will play England’s teachers and the Armed Forces.

Victoria is seeking sponsorship from individuals or local businesses and, in return, is happy to partake in or work voluntarily during the summer vacation for any local business who is willing to kindly support her.

Victoria may be contacted on 07547 934874 or contact Julie Barton on 07753 349248.
