Hit boy band Union J returned to McDonald’s in Shiptonthorpe for the second time in 12 months and really made the day of the staff working there.
The band visited the restaurant and posed with staff for photos. They then sat and enjoyed their meal.
Franchisee Mike O’Reilly, who runs the restaurant, said: “The boys were returning from a gig and came back to the restaurant to enjoy a meal with us and were really great to our staff who were very excited, particularly the ladies.”
Ex-England cricketer Paul Collingwood MBE also visited the McDonald’s, and although he came incognito he was immediately spotted by cricket enthusiast and shift manager Ally Woods who ran around the counter to get his photo taken with one of his heroes.
