The controversy over the Pocklington library name has largely been forgotten.
The Pocela Centre is a multi-purpose building and needs one name as an address for postal and delivery purposes.

People may think that having the library and the Customer Service Section under one roof was just a cost cutting exercise but it was designed to be helpful to residents as a single point to access information about all East Riding Services.
