The team at the Gnu Inn, North Newbald, have organised a family fun day to be held in the beer garden and the rear car park of the pub.
Lee, Carol, Mel and Phil at the popular establishment are hoping to raise money for three causes – the local church, St Nicholas, Newbald Primary School and Cancer Research.
The event is being held on Sunday 30 August and starts at 1pm. Entry is free and everyone is welcome.
GNUFEST is the first event of its kind to be held in North Newbald and boasts a host of live entertainment which includes live bands, soloists, magic and a barbecue.
Music will be running throughout the afternoon and into the evening with the event finishing at 9pm.
Featured artists include Hull’s very own Bat Out of Hull along with the outstanding band Sean Finch and The Alibis playing classic rock and pop and Ed Moxon, a talented 18 year old singer-songwriter, playing unique covers and original songs.
A spokesperson for the Gnu Inn said: “Take part in the outdoor Zumba class at 2pm with instructor Nicky Noo – this has been designed so the whole family can join in – it’s a great way to keep the kids entertained too.
“If the kids are still full of energy they can burn the rest off by enjoying themselves on the bouncy castle.
“It is going to be a fantastic family day. We want to make it into a day where everybody can enjoy themselves.
“All the people performing during the day are doing it for free. It is a great showcase for them and a fantastic way to raise money for three great charities – this is what it’s all about.
“There will also be a charity raffle on the day, with the chance to win some amazing prizes including a VIP Family Ticket for four to see this year’s Hull New Theatre panto Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, starring X Factor winner and pop sensation Joe McElderry and comedy kings Cannon and Ball.
“The prize also includes a fantastic behind the scenes tour and the opportunity to meet the Snow White cast. Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producers, have kindly donated the prize.”
