A farm machinery importer in the area has further consolidated its partnership with Polish manufacturing giant, Unia, by launching its Max Seedbed Cultivator in the UK.
Sancton-based Manterra Ltd. is the sole UK importer for Unia Group, Central Europe’s leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery.
Of the launch of the Max Cultivator, Manterra founder, farmer and agronomist Andrew Manfield said: “The Max is a strong, cost effective spring tine cultivator with widths from 3m to 6m and mounted or semi-mounted options.
“Key features of the Max include its excellent contour following, multiple levelling boards to ensure a quality finish and several finishing roller options.
He added: “I had been looking for a manufacturer of high quality, low cost cultivation, spreading and seeding equipment for clients with a tight budget and Unia Group has exceeded my expectations.
Manterra was established by farmer and agronomist Mr Manfield in 2011 and has its foundations in a farming business that was established at the beginning of the last century. Manterra is also the key technology supplier to the Stockbridge Technology Centre SATS4CROPS project that has secured Innovate UK funding for a three year trial to commercialise innovative precision farming technology.
Founded in 1882, Unia Group employs 1,350 people at its four manufacturing sites in Poland and France and exports to over 60 countries. It produces 25,000 machines per annum.
