Stories about homelessness and the joys of life without modern technology have won a creative writing competition organised by the Pocklington Post and community radio station, Vixen 101.
The summer challenge was developed to coincide with the radio show, Telling Tales, which has been running once a month on the Market Weighton-based station, presented by Julie Barker.
Liz Sullivan from Pocklington took the top prize in the adult category with her story, ‘Think it Through’.
11-year-old Lydia Adrian, of Holme-on-Spalding Moor, penned a story about life without modern technology and hi-tech toys to win the under 16’s category.
