Young volunteers who have planted a variety of trees in Stamford Bridge have received medals for their efforts.

The volunteers, called the Young Conservers, were presented with their medals at Stamford Bridge Parish Council’s Annual Parish Meeting.

Former East Riding Council chairman, councillor Claude Mole, made the presentations.

Another youngster, Selina Broadley, was presented with a medal after she and nine other children from Archbishop Holgate School helped in an AIDS orphanage in South Africa.
