Youngsters from East York TAGB Tae Kwon Do club, in Stamford Bridge, came home with a bag full of medals from the British Championships in Worcester.
Twins Brad and Zac Lightfoot, 10, and Harry Cook, nine, all fought “bravely” in a tag team to come away with silver medals, while the twins’ younger sibling, Ashleigh, won five out of six rounds to also finish with silver in the individual sparring, as did Claire Munro. Ollie Richardson and Harry Cook both took bronze medals.
“Because of its high-kicking, fast-paced style Tae Kwon Do is a thoroughly modern way of getting fit and healthy”, says Club Instructor Gavin Cook.
“Its worth considering after all the Christmas excesses, and it’s something the whole family can do!”
In January the club is hosting its second masterclass with Great Britain Squad member Jacky White.
