Pocklington’s Acorn Gallery has played host to one of the county’s most exciting young artists.
Danny Abrahams is self-taught and his Summer Exhibition at the Acorn Gallery in Pocklington has been much anticipated.
Thirty five original pieces made a stunning display and included the largest painting Danny has ever done, which measured more than 1.5m in width.
The exhibition created much excitement and brought visitors to the town from as far as Coventry and London.
Sales on the day surpassed expectations and Danny was overwhelmed with the response.
“It’s been amazing,” said Bradford-born Danny. “Everyone has been so kind.”
Gallery owner Diane Wass said: “People really love his style, his mix of beautiful landscapes and childhood adventure really reaches out to people. Danny’s paintings take them back to their childhood and happy care-free days.”
There are nine remaining pieces which can be seen in the gallery or on the website at www.theacorngallery.co.uk.
