A musical drama group in Pocklington celebrated the end of their Heritage Lottery Fund grant with a short play at the town’s Arts centre followed by a celebration lunch.
The performance by the Wolds Wonders, a group for people with learning disabilities, extolled the importance of the changing times and seasons found in many of the stories collected in the ‘Pocklington Stories’ project.
It was an invitation only affair and the guests included all those who had contributed their stories to the exhibition.
The Wolds Wonders received a grant of £9,900 from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Norma Jennings, one time chair of Pocklington Arts Centre management team, said: “It was a wonderful day and the Arts Centre was really buzzing.”
