The August meeting of Pocklington WI was spent in the wonderful gardens at Ellerker House, Everingham.
Members were shown around the five acres of magnificent landscape gardens by Roz Los. The colours in the floral beds were vibrant and a beautiful summer’s evening enhanced the effect of them.
The evening closed with tea and cake having been enjoyed by everyone. Ellerker House was once the office belonging to Everingham Estate, owned by the Duke of Norfolk.
As well as the beautiful gardens there is also a woodland walk to enjoy. For more information about Ellerker House, when it is open and the cost of entry , visit the venue’s website at http://ellerkerhouse.weebly.com or contact 01430 861465.
