All Saints Church: An evening with Ian Tomlinson, Master Glazier at 7.30pm. Ian will talk about the ‘Mystery of Stained Glass’ and will show how antique glass is made. There will also be the chance to see old tools and medieval methods, plus modern tools and equipment. Entry £5 (includes refreshments).

Holme on Spalding Moor

Village Hall: Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning between 10.45am and noon. There will be a raffle, various stalls, tombola and cakes. Lunches will be available at noon.

Bishop Wilton

Village Hall: Bishop Wilton Primary School will be hosting a Macmillan Coffee Afternoon starting at 1.45pm. Please come along for a nibble and a natter while raising funds for an important cause.

Stamford Bridge

Methodist Chapel School Room: Coffee and bacon butties between 9.30am and 12.30pm. This is a Stamford Bridge Community Pool fundraising event. Please support this event to make sure the facility keeps running.

Village Hall: Fundraising Concert featuring York Railway Institute Band, 7pm for 7.30pm start. Proceeds will be used for improvements (toilets and car park re-surfacing), as part of our upgrade plans for the building. Tickets cost £8 and are available from Stamford Bridge Post Office or by calling 01759 371251.

Pocela Centre (Pocklington Library): There will be a Pocklington Ward Councillor’s surgery with Conservative Councillors Claude Mole and Kay West between 10am and 11am. Residents are welcome to call in and discuss any issues with the local councillors.

St Mary’s Church: Open church, tea between 2pm and 4pm. Cakes, old photographs, harvest decorations and at 4pm a Harvest Songs of Praise. Please come along and have a chat and a good sing. All welcome.

Burton Agnes

Burton Agnes Hall: The North Wolds Lions Club is organising the annual Brass Band Concert. Music will be from Scarborough’s 25 strong premier brass band “Simply Brass”. The evening will include a wide variety of popular tunes, including “Last Night of the Proms” and a special singalong tribute to Dame Vera Lynn. Community Hall: Community Hall: A craft fair will be held between 10am and 2pm. There’s 20 assorted stalls along with refreshments. Entrance to the fair will be free.

POcklington Rugby Club: Pocktoberfest is back! The popular beer festival has been revived and will be held in a marquee at the Burnby Lane sporting venue. Doors will be open between 2pm and 10pm. £10 entry fee includes a complimentary pint and a commemorative Pocktoberfest glass. All proceeds are going to the Kickstart Kilnwick project.

Arts CentRe: Pocklington Lions Club is holding a Saturday morning “drop-in” information session between 10am and 12.30pm. Come along and find out more about Lions in your community, who we help, and how you might wish become involved.

Bubwith

BUBWITH Centre: The Bubwith Beer and Cider Festival takes place from 7pm through to midnight. There will be live entertainment from Miles Gilderdale and the Blueflies, a complementary hog roast, and pint glass for the price of a £13 ticket. All Saints Church: The Carers Support Group meet on the second Wednesday of each month, 1.30pm-3pm. It is for anyone who cares for a loved one and is an informal group to give the carers a break. A Red Cross volunteer attends to give massages you can have your blood pressure checked and you can have tea or coffee and a biscuit. This is all free of charge as the Church donates the room for free.

The Community Hall, Station Road: Market Weighton Memory Café is held on the last Wednesday of every month, 1.30pm-3pm.
