I was astounded on Boxing Day to hear a radio presenter say “well, Christmas is all over now for another year”.
To put Christmas into just one day is narrow-minded because we celebrate the coming of Our Lord and Saviour into our world and so it should be celebrated as a season lasting for several days, not just one day.
To see Creme Eggs and other Easter chocolate treats on sale before Christmas was a little unsettling too.
We seem, in our society, to be always looking forward to the next ‘big thing’.
