People living Pocklington are being encouraged to have their say on improving access to GP services on evenings and weekends.

NHS Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is using NHS England funding to offer additional access to GP services on weekday evenings and weekends from October 2018.

While some Vale of York GP surgeries already provide evening and weekend services, the CCG wants to ensure everyone in the region is served equally.

The expanded service would provide more same-day and routine evening and weekend appointments, provided by a range of clinicians including doctors, nurses and clinical pharmacists depending on your need.

Dr Kevin Smith, at the CCG, said: “Good access to GP services is not just about getting an appointment when you need it – it’s also about getting access to the right person who can provide the right care, in the right place at the right time.

“We’re keen to hear how you think we should deliver improved access to GP services so please take five minutes to complete the survey as your views will be used to help ensure that the service provided meets the needs of our local residents.”

The survey can be completed online at surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ImprovingGPAccess.

Alternatively, printed copies are available upon request from the CCG, as are copies in other languages.
