Video: Autographs of old composers cause a stir at East Yorkshire Auction

A book of autographs caused a stir when they went under the hammer at an auction sale held by Chris Clubley and Co at Melbourne, near Pocklington, on Saturday.

The pianist Carlo Ducci had compiled a scrap-book containing signed correspondence from Verdi, Liszt, Thalberg, Mascagni, Paderewski, Saint-Saens and more.
