Two people were seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash on the A1079 at Shiptonthorpe.
The collision involved a silver Ford Focus, a black Renault Clio and a blue Ford Fiesta.
Firefighters had to use hydraulic rescue equipment to cut off roofs from two vehicles, as there was one woman trapped in each vehicle.
One of the women was flown to Hull Royal Infirmary by Yorkshire Air Ambulance with a serious leg injury. The other woman was transported to the same hospital by road ambulance.
Humberside Police were called to the collision at about 7.40am last Saturday (14 March). The road was blocked until 11.45am.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Two people received serious, but not life-threatening, injuries in the collision.
“Both are recovering from their injuries.”
