Two attempted burglaries

POLICE are appealing for information following two attempted burglaries in Market Weighton.

The first happened on Ash Grove at around 11.45pm on Thursday 17 November when the occupant was woken up by a noise.

He went to investigate and discovered the living room window had been damaged, but no entry was thought to have been gained.

At around 12.55am on Friday 18 November, the occupant of a property on Westfield Crescent, Market Weighton was woken up by two men, who were attempting to gain entry to the shed to steal two bicycles.

The offenders are believed to have been disturbed by the occupant and left the property empty handed.

Police believe the offences may be connected and are appealing for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area to contact 101.
