Two twin baby donkeys, including a very unusual white one, have become something of a star attraction in Wilberfoss.

The new arrivals, a white one called Davy, and Danny were born on Sunday 15 April.

Deanna Rodger, at Egremont Pines Alpacas, said that a number of people have come along to see them at the site.

She said: “We got two donkeys Lola and Bella, which are run on Blackpool beach, for the winter. We have land for them to graze on as we have alpacas. However, we found out they were both pregnant.

“Lola lost her baby but Bella threw twins on Sunday 15 April at 1.15am and 1.45am.

“At the same time my sister died from cancer. She was born on the Sabbath and died on the Sabbath and, of course, there’s the cross of Jesus on the donkeys’ backs.

“Although they are both boys, my pet name for Danny is ‘Dawny’ after my sister whose name was Dawn.”
