£109,000 Road improvements are due to be carried out in South Cave from next week

East Riding of Yorkshire Council will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing work at Willow Flats in South Cave which involves replacing the worn out existing road surface and installing new road markings.

The resurfacing work will begin on Monday, January 18, and be carried out during daylight hours.

Willow Flats will be closed to through-traffic for the duration of the works, with a signed traffic diversion via Ellerker Lane and Brough Lane in South Cave and Cave Lane, Main Street, Howden Croft Hill, Ring Beck and Brough Road in Ellerker.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council Streetscene Services have been appointed to carry out the works.

Councillor Gary McMaster, the council’s portfolio holder for enhancing communities, said: “We would like to thank motorists and residents in advance for their patience while we carry out this work.

“The work is essential to improve the highway surface for all road users.”
