Charismatic comic Seann Walsh is the latest big name on the comedy circuit to agree to perform in Pocklington.
Seann will return to Pocklington Arts Centre on 28 March as part of his latest tour ‘28’. He first took to the venue’s stage in 2012.
The Arts Centre recently announced that popular funnyman Al Murray will be performing The Pub Landlord’s Summer Saloon show at the old station in Pocklington on 17 July, along with comedian and special guest Chris Ramsey. Last December, comedy queen Sarah Millican entertained a sold-out crowd at the Arts Centre.
Janet Farmer, manager of the Arts Centre, said: “We are very pleased to have Seann coming back to the venue in March. He first performed at Pocklington Arts Centre in 2012 on one of his first nationwide tours. Since then his profile has risen considerably with his television and radio work.”
Seann was a regular face on television screens last summer after securing his place as a team captain on E4’s brand new comedy quiz show Virtually Famous.
He has also appeared on BBC1’s Live At The Apollo, BBC2’s Mock The Week and Never Mind The Buzzcocks and on Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats.
In his last show ’The Lie-In King’, 2013 Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, Seann was living alone and trying to sort himself out. At 28 years of age he has returned with the aptly named ’28’ where he is now living with his girlfriend, and she is trying to sort him out.
