Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on the A1079 near Wilberfoss.
The collision happened at 5.15pm yesterday (25 January) and involved a white Ford Transit van, white Fiat 500 and silver Ford Fiesta.
Two of the drivers were taken to York Hospital, while a third was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary.
The male driver of the Fiesta suffered serious injuries, but his condition was not believed to be life threatening.
The male van driver was treated for chest pains and the female driver of the Fiat was treated for neck and back injuries.
The road was closed from the junction with Bolton Lane, but re-opened at around 8.30pm.
