A care home in Stamford Bridge had some equine visitors at their home recently.
Organisers at Stamford Bridge Beaumont home invited Katy Smith and her KL therapy ponies to bring some joy to the residents and their relatives.
Karen Ratcliffe, activity co-ordinator, booked the therapy ponies after receiving a rave review from a previous home where they had visited.
Sarah Pasket, general manager of Stamford Bridge Beaumont, said: “We had a lovely afternoon. Katy and her fabulous ponies spent all afternoon here, travelling in the lifts and even visiting residents in their rooms.
“One resident said that at 86 they didn’t ever think they would stroke a real live pony.”
