The cast of “The Importance of Being Earnest” which was on at York Theatre Royal paid a special visit the Half Moon at Newton on Derwent last week.

The pub’s owner and local businessman Michael Reay sponsored the play, which was an Original Theatre Company production starring Gwen Taylor (Coronation Street, Duty Free), Thomas Howes (Downton Abbey) and Susan Penhaligon (Upstairs Downstairs and Bergerac).

The lead Gwen Taylor attended the event when locals had the chance to enjoy a chat with the cast.
