A new Starbucks drive-through is set to open in Pocklington, creating 11 new jobs for the area.
The cafe, at Pocklington Services, off the A1079, will open its doors to coffee-loving motorists on Boxing Day.
The drive-through, being operated by Starbucks’ franchise partner Euro Garages, will open seven days a week.
April Hughes, store manager of the new coffee shop, said: “It is really good for the area, on that road especially. There is nothing else on that road except McDonald’s at Shiptonthorpe and not much competition. It will be popular with people going to and from York and Hull.”
Aziz Patel, from the Brookfield Group, the developer for the project, said: “We have delivered another outstanding and world class brand to the area.”
A spokesperson for Starbucks said: “We are very excited to open a new Starbucks drive-through store in Pocklington in partnership with our franchise partner Euro Garages.
“The new store opens on Boxing Day at Pocklington services and will create 11 new jobs for the local community.”
The cafe is offering customers a free beverage when you buy one for a friend.
