A COUNCIL initiative to get children and their families swimming during the summer holidays has been launched by East Riding Council.
The £20 Child Swim Card allows one child to go swimming at council-run leisure centres, including Francis Scaife in Pocklington, as often as they want for a six week period, including the fun and inflatable sessions that pools will be providing throughout the summer.
A swipe card is issued to each child, which is valid for six weeks from the date of purchase. The card must be presented at reception on each visit.
The Family 5 for 4 Swim Card allows a family to purchase five family swims for the price of four, saving £9.30. The card will allow a family of two adults and up to three children to go swimming, including fun and inflatable sessions.
Adrian Walters, assistant leisure unit manager, said: “Our £20 Child Swim Card was very popular last summer and we are very happy that we have been able to keep it at the same great value price. The family card is a new venture which we hope will encourage families to come and enjoy swimming more often during the summer.”
Age restrictions and supervision levels do apply but for further details contact your local sports and leisure centre.
