Holme on Spalding Moor Primary School pupils had a special guest recently, welcoming rugby star Iafeta Paleaaesina into their assembly.
Feka, as he is more widely known, brought a very special item with him, the prestigious Rugby League Challenge Cup.
Pupils from the school asked a range questions about the trophy, as well as of their special guest.
Mr Woodhouse, headteacher at the school, was delighted to have Feka involved.
He said: ‘It was a brilliant assembly and one that the staff, children and visitors will remember for a long time. Our primary school is all about creating memories for the pupils and providing them with inspirational role models.”
Mr Paleaaesina was full of praise for the children and was very impressed with their thoughtful questions.
He said: “The kids were great and asked me all sorts of things that really made me think. I would love to be involved with the school again in the future.”
The children had their photos taken with the trophy and insisted on Feka being in the picture too.
Taylor, aged 11, said: “It was amazing because I had my own rugby ball signed by a Hull FC player and I had the chance to see the Challenge Cup up close.’
Lexus, also 11, said: “I thought it was really good because I had the chance to have a photo taken with Paleaaesina.’
