The British Heart Foundation held its annual Sing Your Heart Out service at Pocklington Church on Friday, to raise funds for the charity and Pocklington All Saints.
It was a well attended evening wih the Mayor and Mayoress of Pocklington, the local district Scouts, Cubs and Beavers packs turning out on the night along with their families and many local supporters of the charity.
The service was led by the Rev Canon Rodney Nicholson, and Ann Roberts and Robert Peel sang two duets.
Michael Cooper played a medley of Christmas songs on the grand piano and there were readings by the Mayor, Freda Gardner from the BHF, and the three of the Pocklington Scouts and their leader, Julian Cushworth.
Refreshments were served at the back of the church at the end of the evening and the donations amounted to just over £300.
The Pocklington and District British Heart Foundation committee gives its thanks to everyone who attended and supported the evening, which has become a lovely start to the Christmas season.
