A farm shop near South Cave has been shortlisted for two national awards in recognition of its commitment to championing local produce.
Drewton’s is up for a Large Farm Shop of the Year accolade and a Farm Restaurant of the Year gong in the 2015 FARMA awards.
Organised by FARMA - a co-operative of UK farmers, small-scale, local producers, and farmers’ market organisers - the awards are an annual, national competition that aim to recognise the UK’s top local food businesses. The winners will be announced next February. Proprietor Katie Taylor said: “To be shortlisted in two different categories in such a high profile, national awards scheme is fantastic news, we’re absolutely delighted and can’t wait for the FARMA Conference in February, when the results will be announced.”
