East Yorkshire-based musicians the Saltmarshe Duo are tuning up for a summer concert in Market Weighton.
Tenor Steven Goulden and pianist Amy Butler will perform at St John’s Methodist Church on Saturday (18 June) from 7.30pm in aid of church funds and Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Steven studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and has sung the lead roles in numerous operas, performing across the UK with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle. Amy studied at Oxford University and has performed as a soloist and accompanist throughout the UK.
The duo’s ‘Summer Serenade’ will feature a lively selection of songs, including classical songs, operatic hits and piano pieces. Tickets cost £9 and are available from St John’s church, The Paper Shop, in Market Weighton, or on the door.
