Two sales executives are leaving the comfort of their show homes to take part in a gruelling 10km tough mudder-style obstacle course.
Alex Rymer and Hannah Sheppard are teaming up with site manager Paul Douglass and will be tackling the muddy mission in Leeds on Sunday (20 March).
The trio, from Linden Homes North’s Bradley Meadow development in Market Weighton, will face explosions, unexpected smells and sounds, while tackling stench trenches and much more.
Paul and his brother Neil will be using the challenge at Bramham Park, which they are undertaking on behalf of British Military Fitness York, to raise money for Hull Royal Infirmary’s ICU and neurosurgery wards.
Paul said: “The hospital treated our mum last year after she was diagnosed with a brain haemorrhage and needed surgery.
“This is a frequently fatal condition, but the nurses, doctors and surgeons offered the best care possible, operating in order to stop further bleeds to her brain. Mum is now making a full and speedy recovery.
“We would like to show our appreciation to the staff on these wards by raising as much money as possible.”
