Pocklington Productions stages its latest musical ‘Robbers’ at all Saints Church, Pocklington this weekend (Friday 9 and Saturday 10 March).
Set in 1930s Texas, Robbers is the story of two women from very different backgrounds, one rich and privileged and the other lower class and hard working.
They are drawn together by fate, and the result is the story with echoes of Bonny and Clyde, but very different.
The play is written by Josh Dowden, from Barmby Moor, who also wrote the last musical ‘The Taylor’ with music written by Anna Myatt from Everingham).
Tickets £7/£5 are available from Pocklington Music, the church office, or on the door.
Pocklington Productions is a local amateur dramatic society formed around five years ago following a York Theatre Royal community drama programme.
