Residents are being warned to ignore a suspected scam email.

The email claims to have been sent from the Government Accredited Licensed Payment Processing Center in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Pocklington resident Kevan Hodgson received the email saying he had won $2,820,000 USD.

East Riding Council’s Trading Standards manager Colin Briggs says anyone else who receives this email should ignore it and report it to the Citizens’ Advice Consumer Service on 0845 4040506 or call Action Fraud on 0300 1232040.
