The official opening of the newly-renovated train station platform in Stamford Bridge will be held on the weekend of the 50th anniversary of the closure of the station.
Weather permitting, Stamford Bridge in Bloom will dress the platform with the additional items donated to the group and there will be further railway items on display inside the old station building.
Pocklington town crier Geoff Sheasby will be attending in full regalia and young trumpeters will perform carols. The official opening will take place at 11am on 29 November and the Station Club will be open until 2pm.
A spokesperson for Stamford Bridge in Bloom said: “Please come along and experience the wonderful historic asset we possess in the old station buildings, all restored, run and maintained by funds raised by residents past and present.”
