Pupils hear about an MP’s life at Westminster

Pocklington’s MP Sir Greg Knight was recently quizzed by pupils at Pocklington Junior School about his work as an MP and how democracy works in Britain.

Sir Greg visited the school to speak to students and he explained how laws are made at Westminster, giving an insight into the work of a Member of Parliament.

After the visit Sir Greg said: “I was delighted to visit Pocklington Junior School to explain the workings of Parliament and I was very impressed with the interesting and varied questions from the students.”
