Key Stage 2 pupils at Bishop Wilton School recently had a taste of The Great Outdoors as they started a new topic for the term – exploring the countryside around Garrowby and Worsendale.

Teacher Mrs McCarthy said: “We decided to get our wellies on and take a walk up the hill at Garrowby/Worsendale to explore the countryside.

“At the top the children closed their eyes and said that they felt peaceful. It was great fun, although we did get a bit muddy! The event fits in with our exciting pollination project.”
