The consultation process is underway for plans to build more than 250 new houses in Pocklington.
The proposed development, by developers J.G. Hatcliffe and Partners and Linden Homes North, is the third phase of The Groves development, near the Broadmanor estate.
It would connect the phase one development to the north of the site and the phase two development to the east. Work is well underway on phases one and two. The planning application will be part detailed and part outline. The detailed part relates to 2.19 hectares of land, known as phase three A, which would comprise of 56 new homes, and the outline part relates to 7.54 hectares of land, known as phase three B, which would accommodate about 196 new houses. The phase three development would include a mix of two to 5 bedroomed properties. It would feature a continuous link road from The Balk to West Green by connecting routes through phases one and two. There would also be a link road onto Thurlow Avenue on the Broadmanor estate.
