Pocklington Group Practice and its Patient Participation Group need your help in completing a comprehensive survey regarding the Practice and the service it provides.

Berni Judge, Managing Partner, said: “Our patients’ opinions are vital and extremely valuable to ensure that we are providing effective services and understanding where changes may be required.

"Following our recent successful Care Quality Commission inspection we are keen to hear how we can continue to improve and evolve the service we provide”.

Our survey has now been launched and is available from our Practice reception and website, Francis Scaife Sports Centre, Pocklington Library and Pocklington Civic Arts Centre.

The Pocklington Patient Participation Group is also searching for new members.

The group was set up in 2010 to enable patients to act as a “critical friend” to the Practice, becoming involved in decisions about the range and quality of services being provided and, over time, those to be commissioned in the future. It is now seeking new members to ensure that its membership reflects that of the Practice’s patient population as a whole.

The Chair of the Group, John Plaistowe, said: “This is so that any viewpoints or suggestions made to the Practice are likely to cover most of the patient population needs and are as representative as possible. In order to do so we need to obtain some basic personal details about anyone wishing to join the group.

"These details are as a brief as possible and will not be used for any other purpose but to ascertain where the membership does or does not reflect the overall patient population and thus target, if necessary, any particular groups when vacancies occur”.

PPG application forms are available from the reception desk of the Practice, through our Practice website ( or by emailing
