Police have received a report of a possible sighting of a man who is alleged to have slashed car tyres in Pocklington.
Julian Glew, 45, of no fixed abode, has been on the run for almost a month, after failing to appear at Beverley Magistrates’ Court on 14 October. A warrant was issued for his arrest. He originally appeared in custody at Hull Magistrates’ Court on 21 September and pleaded guilty to three charges of criminal damage. He was arrested on 19 September in Pocklington Woods. Police were investigating reports of a series of car attacks.
Mr Glew is believed to be sleeping rough in the Pocklington, Kilnwick Percy area. He is not thought to pose a threat but police are seeking help from members of the public in locating him.
Mr Glew is described as white, 5’7” tall of slim build with receding hairline and usually has a beard and moustache.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Efforts are being made back in the Pocklington area after a possible sighting of a man sleeping rough was made at the weekend.
“Walkers and cyclists regularly pass through the woods around Pocklington and if they see someone sleeping rough police would appeal for them to ring 101 immediately quoting ref 2143295.”
