A new drop-in cafe to cater for Pocklington’s young people could be just around the corner as organisers begin the hunt for premises in the town.
Organisers Tiffany Barker and Les Slow, from All Saints’ Church, hope that the cafe will help provide some much needed facilities for young people in Pocklington.
The cafe would also play an important role in training young people, with organisers hopeful of taking on a number of catering apprentices.
During a meeting on 12 June Pocklington Town Council agreed to do all it could to help progress the project.
Councillor Geoff Shepherd said: “I do applaud you on this and you have my full support.”
