Plans to build a £56,000 skatepark in Pocklington have received the thumbs up from many residents in Pocklington.

The town council recently urged residents to fill in a questionnaire, which was available at its offices on George Street and asked for their thoughts and opinions on the possibility of installing a skatepark on the Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field, West Green.

In total, 61 people filled in and sent back the questionnaire to the council and of those, 48 people said they are supportive of the skatepark plans and just 13 against.
