Pocklington councillor resigns after his apology is rejected

A Pocklington town councillor is resigning after having a third letter of apology rejected by the town council over a dispute between himself and two other members.

Coun Martin Cooper has decided to call it a day following seven years of service on the council.

It comes after Coun Martin Cooper was found guilty of ‘bullying’ and ‘not treating others with respect’ by East Riding Council’s standards committee in May this year.
