A dispute on Pocklington Town Council has led to one councillor being found guilty of ‘bullying’ fellow members by East Riding Council’s standards committee.

It follows a formal complaint to the authority by Coun Graham Perry and town clerk Richard Wood about the way Coun Cooper behaved towards them while he was town mayor from 2010-11 and for a period of time afterwards.

Coun Cooper was found to have breached the code of conduct adopted by the town council for not treating others with respect, as well as bullying.
