An influential community group has presented its plans for a cycling route to be created around Pocklington to the town council.
Jo Green, from Pocklington and Wolds Gateway Partnership, proposed the idea of two link roads being built as part of the route at the council’s meeting on Wednesday 12 March.
The route would be around the outskirts of the town, on quiet roads and paths.
Mrs Green suggested a new link road from the car park at the town’s cemetery to the car park of where the new doctors surgery will be built on West Green. She also suggested a new cycle track through Primrose Wood.
The Pocklington and Wolds Gateway Partnership came up with the idea of a cycling route around the town when it was considering the transport strategy for Pocklington.
